Wild Women Artists

“For me nature is not landscape, but the dynamism of visual forces.. an event rather than an appearance. These forces can only be tackled by treating color and form as ultimate identities, freeing them from all descriptive or functional roles.” ~ Bridget Riley

Art is an important aspect of WWE – from our Wild Arts Tour in Newfoundland to art workshops in our Ultimate Wild Women Weekend. We believe that inspiration and creativity go together – and our trips tend to be quite inspiring!

Meet Krya Dahlke, one of the Wild Women artists who will be facilitating a workshop at our UWWW retreat:

KYRA DAHLKE

Kyra Dahlke paints in the multilayered veil of reality. Her work demands that the viewer seek to penetrate the natural swirling vortex of the organic and the feminine. With its depth and ethereal colour one meets their grounded form in a meditative breath, all at once caught up in the sensuous while dipping into the well of the mother. Her painting style has developed from having spent years living in the forest amongst all things natural and listening to the rhythms of nature. Her paintings are a record of her journey and draw the observer into their own reflections.
